Neue: "True Love Isn’t Waiting"
Tuesday, 05 April 2011
The April/May issue of Neue features a story called “True Love Isn’t Waiting” that highlights information about abortion advanced by the NAE Generation Forum. Neue, published by RELEVANT Media Group, is a magazine intended as a tool for church leaders and innovators.

In this article, Leith Anderson, president of the NAE, states, “There’s fatigue in churches from talking about the issue [abortion], and a significant sense that it’s primarily a political issue. I would contend that it’s primarily a morality issue… we need to address the life issue – the moral issue. We need to have a conversation that goes beyond the political issues that we’ve engaged so far.”

In addition, Dharius Daniels, founder and senior pastor of Kingdom Church in Ewing, N.J., as well as a member of the NAE Board of Directors, declares in this article, “The fact that I have so many single young adults makes it [sexual integrity] an issue I’ve had to address… It would be pastorally irresponsible – malpractice almost – for me not to. Most of my congregation is struggling with it.”

Generation Forum Releases Forum Highlights Video
Tuesday, 01 February 2011
The NAE Generation Forum today released a new video with highlights from its Fall 2010 "Respecting Sex and Reducing Abortions—What Can Christians Really Do?" gathering at the Angelus Temple Hispanic in Los Angeles. This video features portions of the event discussion, as well as compelling response interviews with attendees.

The NAE Generation Forum is exploring practical and realistic approaches to curtail the high abortion rate in the United States. Particular focus is being placed on young adults since they, not teenagers, have the majority of abortions. This initiative is hosting events across the country to create dialogue about how local churches can be involved in effectively decreasing the number of abortions in their congregations and communities.

The Generation Forum is also developing resources, like the "Theology of Sex," to help evangelicals understand and cherish human sexuality, build strong families, respect human dignity and celebrate the precious gift of life.

NAE Celebrates National Adoption Month

Polling Supports Role for Adoption in Reducing Abortion

Washington, D.C., November 1, 2010 – The National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) welcomes the celebration of National Adoption Month in November. Adoption honors the centrality of the family in human society and displays respect for the gift of life.

“Adoption is a blessing from God,” said Galen Carey, NAE Director of Government Affairs. “It is a courageous act of sacrificial love on the part of both birth parents and adoptive parents. Churches should honor and support these individuals.”

The NAE supports efforts, such as making the adoption tax credit permanent, that would aid families seeking to adopt. It also established the NAE Generation Forum to explore common ground efforts, including adoption, to reduce America’s high abortion rate. In a Gallup poll commissioned by the NAE, 78 percent of evangelicals surveyed believed that efforts at making adoption more accessible would help reduce the number of abortions in the United States.*

“Adoption affirms the value of life and family,” said Aaron Mercer, director of the NAE Generation Forum. “Providing loving, stable homes for children is dear to the hearts of many across traditional ideological boundaries. As we explore together adoption’s role in reducing the abortion rate, we need to consider how best to provide information and support for both adoptive parents and women with unplanned pregnancies who are interested in adoption.”

The NAE Generation Forum is developing resources like the “Theology of Sex” and hosting events across the country to create dialogue about how local churches can be involved in decreasing the number of abortions in their congregations and communities.
