Theology of Sex

Honoring God's Good Gift

Theology_of_Sex_-_front_-_2“Sex” is a word often heard on the airwaves, in advertisements and in society at large.  However, is it a word heard much in our churches?

Sex, that most intimate of human actions, is one of the most difficult and sensitive subjects to discuss.  Many evangelicals, particularly those serving in pastoral roles, struggle with how to address the topic of human sexuality and the many real-life situations connected to the subject.

To provide some assistance, the NAE recently published a Bible-based “Theology of Sex.”  The “Theology of Sex” is a brief booklet, but its content is robust.  The NAE carefully organized a strong drafting team of distinguished evangelical scholars from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Bethel University, Calvin College, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, George Fox University, Wheaton College and the NAE Board of Directors.

The end product is a positive and powerful examination of God’s good gift of sex for us and how we can appropriately honor that gift.  Ultimately, we hope this resource will aid Christians in properly understanding and cherishing human sexuality, building strong families, respecting human dignity and celebrating the precious gift of life.
